Zoladex
Zoladex - what a treasure! As time goes on I thought the body would adjust but no; new side effects keep appearing. This time a monster bruise has appeared, (when you've have 17 before and only one slight bruise this looks like a monster)! Feeling, yuk! Researched medical side effects to discover this dizziness I have been suffering is part of it along with the runs, headaches, aching legs and so it goes................just needed to moan as this month is the full pack of cards of side effects rather than just one!
I have an appointment with the Oncologist for review on Tuesday; I try not to complain as it will pass and nowhere near as bad as others. Wonder if I could convince him my body doesn't need the implants anymore, ha ha! Still have 9 to go!
Or am I confused and it is my other medications clashing with Zoladex! Ugghh!
Take care all and BTW I love the birthday idea - it is really nice to receive a Happy Birthday wish from the forum when you're in the middle of feeling yuk! (medical term)

- The medical world moves so slowly sometimes. All the waiting! I hope you are enjoying the beautiful day and finding lots of pleasant ways to distract yourself. I think during these times we really need to spoil ourselves a little. Stop and smell the roses!
- Thanks Deanne - I have a couple of disks to take with me to the appointments next week, 8th is Zoladex injection again and 10th is Oncologist and the 9th I have to a presentation at Govt Department level, so a little stressful coming up - they told me it would pick up everything including arthritis.
Beautiful day here today, it is a public holiday and the sun is shining brightly at present - I hope your scans went ok and that you at least know that nothing in that direction is causing your symptoms. xxx
- I bet all our bodies would just love to get off this merry go round! The treatments are unfortunately accompanied by so many negative effects and our poor bodies are really doing very well considering. I have dizziness some days when I stand up after sitting for a while. That can make me feel very precarious on steps.

Deanne xxx - Thank you - feel like a drama queen; this month has been the strangest - I've had 17 previous injections and still 9 to go. Monday is the CT scan for chest and abdo and pelvis with contrast and Tuesday is the bone scan with dye. Yesterday I visited a friend at her new house which has a sweeping (Gone with the Wind) staircase and I struggled to get up because of the dizziness and on the way down fell, luckily on my behind which has plenty of padding - I was so embarrassed. Hopefully it is only my body saying hey I've had enough of this can we got off this merry go round.
Yes I am extremely pleased with my Oncologist, Michael, he is very caring and I am aware he has oodles of patients and I am one of the easy ones I would've thought!
Today is 4 seasons in one day, sunshine, rain, hail, sunshine............pattern of the day.

It is always good to know for sure what is causing them. Will be sending good thoughts your way for the scans. Hope you don't have to wait long to have them and get the results. xxx

- Thanks - saw Oncologist yesterday, got my dates muddled as well as, anyhow,he could see I was unwell so I am having a bone scan and CT chest and abdomen scan - yes I think it is the damned Zoladex and I still have 9 to go but as I always present well he thought it was appropriate in that he said if you come in here unwell it means I should investigate further - I am certainly well looked after!

I didnt realise the side affects till I was actually off it I had a hysterectomy and honestly from the time a month of zoladex went by all the symptoms went,so I know the zoladex was to blame. Unfortunately im on meds for a form of blood cancer and now those symptoms are worse. lol no win for any of us but so nice to know others have symptoms to and its not oneof those things that you think I wonder if its just me. take care adean
