Hi,
I have been having Zoladex injections for 18 months now and I haven't noticed any side effects. I still get a few hot flushes every day, but I was getting those already from the Exemestane tablets I started taking a few months before Zoladex started. I find the injections do hurt, but I don't use numbing cream or anything. I have been offered it but I find the pain is just a bit more intense than a blood test and it only hurts for a few seconds and once the implant is in it stops hurting and you can't feel it at all. I agree with the comments above the person doing the injection makes a big difference! I have one of the two nurses at my GP do mine, depending on who is on the day I am scheduled. One was better than the other to start with, but to be honest they have had so much practice on me now they are both pretty good! Before me they had only given a Zoladex once or twice. Hope your injections go ok and your side effects are minimal!
