Xeloda side effects

omg ! I wanted to share how amazing “cold therapy ice socks” are! I’m trying to work through xeloda and towards the end of the 14 days my hands and especially my feet are on fire :( these ice socks are awesome !
I purchased mine from eBay - 29.95 plus postage but to be honest I would pay double - highly recommended for anyone doing xeloda xxx
  • Awesome!   When my husband was on Xeloda - his feet were bright red & the skin all peeled off!  We nearly stopped the chemo at that point, it was so debilitating!  Wish we'd known about those ice socks back then!!

He was always very itchy as well - we found that plain old Cornflour reduced the itch.  I would put him in the shower or bath & sprinkle it all over him & gently rub it on & let the 'leftover' land in the bath/cubicle. After he got out, I just turned the taps on to get rid of the 'overflow cornflour'. ;)
  • Those ice socks are awesome. My nurse recommended them for neuropathy during taxol and now I use them while on xeloda
  • I wonder if tbey could be of benefit during chemo, too, to reduce neuropathy and/or nail damage, with an extra pair for hands, as well  :)
  • Great tip, I’m on cycle 5 of 8 and my feet constantly feel on fire even after dose reduction and my week “off”.  I’ve been using frozen gel packs to cool them down but socks sound good 🔥
