Just an update to the post I did earlier last week. I went to see my oncologist who ordered another blood test. Well my estrogen levels were a lot higher....so guess what... after all this time the doctor believes my ovaries are 'waking up'.....and that I am after all NOT in menopause, I was in fact perimenopausal. So I have been taken off the Letrozole and back on the tamoxifen for now. It just goes to show at 5o years of age , chemo, and no periods for such a long time your body can get back to itself! The oncologist said this is rare and that he has never seen this before, so to anyone who is not sure about a discharge(my was like when I used to ovulate, clear and sticky) you know your body and if you are uncertain about something.. go get it checked!! If I didn't I would still be on Letrozole which only works for women who have gone through menopause. So lucky I did as tamoxifen works for me at the moment! :-)
