Gosh, you've been thru the wars, @Flaneuse :( My hips, knees, shoulders & hands are my main arthritis areas - tho a fall some years ago injured my spine as well & that flares now & then.
I've been on Letrozole and Exemestane - both have exacerbated my previous arthritis conditions big time - Letrozole in 6 weeks & Exemestane in 6 months.
From extreme pain, to not being able to form a fist (i.e. hold things!) to 'trigger finger & thumb' .... all these are 'new' to my previous arthritis condition. The only thing that has changed that may have caused it, are the hormone tablets.
I fear your GP needs more education, @Flaneuse - so keep telling him! ...... There are tens of thousands (if not millions) of women complaining of these side effects ..... when will we be taken more seriously & the researchers start looking for a solution? They reckon they can 'fix it' for men with the same condition - why not women! grrrrr
