Yes, thank you - my hands behaved themselves for the Uke Festval - The prednisone I took a week before & up tothe Uke Festival worked really well. I stopped taking it last Sun - and my hands are still relatively 'ache free' - altho the thumbs remain sore. Normally, I can't close my hands at all in the morning (they look like I am holding an invisible apple.) But just now, I can close both to a fist still!!
Oooh - those patches sound interesting @Deanne ! Hopefully I will find some in Sydney next week when down for my 1st year review with my surgeon! (or will try for them online!)
Thanks so much for that info.
Do your thumbs 'lock' when you close them? My left one does! Quite weird.
Wow, they must be super strong! Maybe just try it for an hour at a time .... you'd probably be able to even 're-use' that first bit that you took off after the 2hrs? I am sure there'd be enough active ingredient in it!

Yes, I must admit, when using it, I scratched a couple of 'tender spots' and inadvertently transferred some Percutane to it & it stung like hell!! I CAN recommend it for sore muscles/joints, tho - having used it often on my shoulders when I had a totally stuffed shoulder a few years back (still recommending gloves or a plastic bag to apply!!)
