Sounds weird but I found my hot flushes improved once I stopped panadol osteo. Paracetamol has an antipyretic effect...as in lowers fever...but for some it just does it without fever. You could trial nurofen for pain instead and see if it improves (I'm allergic to it sadly). I still get them but things that also make them much worse are caffeine, spicy foods and alcohol. If you smoke or use patches or nicorette gum etc also would make them worse. Just ideas that may reduce frequency a bit. I haven't found the aramatose inhibitor made my hot flushes post menopause any worse. (They were shocking during peri menopause though but lessened over 18 months). So yes...layering of clothing so you can strip down and rug up and carrying a fan is a must I think.
I understand the % given by your specialist of the benefit of aramatose inhibitor is very small. Quite different results to what most of us are given for stats improvement. (And it wouldn't be on pbs with stats that low for most). You could always try and see how you go. You might not feel any different.
