Hi
I started menopause before treatment - 13yrs ago - and am still continuing. At the beginning they sounded like yours, starting from the core and radiating out - all over, and bad. I could sit in my pool in winter at night!!! Now still get them off and on, but they have got milder and sometimes just parts of body (head fairly often). They come and go, ya think your finished and they come back. I find when I get outbreaks of black hairs on my chin I know I'll get a few hot flushes. Go figure, hormones are wierd. Coping ... At night I get up and cool down when they are bad. Gives the bed a chance to cool and if I throw off the rugs and go to sleep I used to wake up freezing and knees aching. My daughter gave me an essential oil spray . Loved it, had oil of geranium init amongst others. Might of been mind over matter, but it helped to relax, and it helped me. Otherwise don't stress, they will go away sometime in the future, change clothes/jamas if sweating a lot. You get so cold cause your a natural evap conditioner - that sweat has got to dry. Gel inserts for pillows/beds seem to get a good response for some. Why didn't "the experts" look into it more for you, I'd like to know. Could of saved a bit of stress.
