The misadventures of chemo
ive decided to document some of my misadventures on chemo after my efforts yesterday - I sank (literally) to an all time low.
yesterday my big idiot was running in a charity run around our local river with his school and one of the local girls schools. Tradition dictates that you go watch them run their last lap (they run the 4.2km circuit 37 times over 12 hours in year level groups). So I do the right thing and go but I’d been off all day.
Anyway sitting there chatting to another mum and had just told her my diagnosis and were discussing where I’m at. Next thing I know I’m like I really need to sit on the floor yep you guessed it I was about to faint. Sank to the ground still semi upright and realised that was still not good and had to lie down flat on the ground head half in a gutter cause I was about to vomit. Omg worst feeling ever. Felt so sorry for this poor mum and who only knows what anyone else thought of this crazy woman dry retching half passed out!
