TC treatments side effects

Hello beautiful ladies,
I was wondering do the symptoms from TC treatment worsen with each cycle?
I am about to have my second cycle of four. The first was terrible you name the symptom I probably had it. Also one more question any remedies out there for sleep, I am having trouble with sleep, which is most probably causing all the other issues.
Thank you for any advice Tracy xx

  • I concur with @"Kiwi Angel". I was the same. The first was the worst in many ways, shock of new etc. Second was the easiest, third very hard and the fourth harder, sheerly because of exhaustion. I had low bp issues, that got worse with each cycle, and breathlessness, a racing heart and weakness whenever I had to walk up the slightest hill. I also had problems with my hands that got worse with each cycle.

The constipation stayed the same all the way through!

Sleep is a big problem for most people on any kind of BC treatment it seems. TC does keep you up at night. It also appears for many very difficult to get the drs to take it seriously. I also eventually managed to persuade my GP to give me a prescription for Temazepam. It won't knock you out all night, but it gives you about 4 hours and puts you to sleep reasonably quick. Most of the time anyway!

Hang in there Tracy. It's crap but you can do it. If you're awake in the middle of the night hop on to the Night Howls discussion. You might find someone else awake who's up for a chat!

Welcome to the forum. Big hug, K xox
  • @Tracy76 I got a script for temazepam which I still use now and if I got bad bone pain I used endone which seemed to knock me out. I found the first was the worst, probably because I didn’t know what to expect and the neulasta injection caused lots of bone pain. The second was the best, the third I was probably the sickest and the final one I was probably the most exhausted. Good luck for your next treatment xoxo
