TC Chemotherapy
Had Round 3 of TC chemo on Monday morning. Bone aches arrived like clockwork on Thursday night, but now on Friday, I seem to have lower back pain and hip pain for the first time as well. Is this normal? I have been walking 1.5 - 2 kms each day this week.
I am finding the variety, and variance, of side effects, to be weird. For example, Round 1, a little nausea, Round 2, a lot, Round 3, none so far.

- SarnicadMember@Fletch omg how scary. Good they were on it quick. Hopefully you haven’t scarred you friend for life!
Good luck tomorrow. Fingers crossed it is uneventful. - BlondyMember@Fletch. You poor thing. what a horrible experience. I get anaphalaxis from stings and penicillin and another mycin type drugs. I was very scared of my first chemo in case I reacted. I had drilled them allwith loads of questions at the chemo place of 'what happens if '. They have a very good system which put my mind at rest, but still super nervous. Amazed I had no reaction. At least they now know to be extra careful with their precious cargo, you. Good luck for tomorrow.
- FletchMemberHi TC friends, Had round 2 today. Well.....they got 11mls out of 270 mls into me before violent allergic reaction. Nothing with round 1!
Anyway, I live to tell the tale but I was sooooo scared! I have never had the pleasure of a medical emergency before. I have been involved from the outside in many but it was never for me! So, they came running from everywhere and their protocols and expertise saved me. Tomorrow back to hospital to try again. They will up pre-meds of anti-histamines etc and pump the T through at half pace.
Would be grateful to hear any others experiences? Please?
My hubby has a cold ,so he didn’t go with me. I had a wonderful girlfriend who volunteered, poor thing! - kmakmMember@Sarnicad @JenniA It's been a lifesaver for me, coming here to vent to people who understand. It's a valve that saves our families and friends too I think. Love to pat your hand Sarnicad, and JenniA, your problems are your problems and cancer is cancer no matter what your circumstances. K xox
