TC Chemotherapy

@Sarnicad have you been told about loratadine (claratyne) as a possible fix for the bone pain from the neulasta? It sure worked for me, and I haven't heard of anyone being told they can't have it. Ask your onc. Some practices prescribe it as a matter of course, some have never heard of it. At $1 a day it is worth a shot. You start a day before chemo and take it for a week. There were studies done in the UK which were inconclusive as to effect for most people, but I've done this twice and swear by it. Mxx

Better controlled symptoms but very very very tired. They gave me the injection to boost white cell growth which of course comes with its own side effects which are very evident today sore bones! They boosted a few meds which has been good to control and I haven’t had the extreme reactions but they are all still there

@Sister indigestion is not something we often cause for breast so not sure why the nurse mentioned it but better to listen as she will have seen your individual plan :)

@sarnicad It may depend on exactly where they focus the radiation - I don't know if I'm different to most but the nurse mentioned that it may be an issue for me.  @JoeyLiz ?

I'm still getting the indigestion 4 weeks out from chemo and never had it before so I'm still taking Nexium - quite probably stirred up by the radiation.

@"Kiwi Angel" last time I had indigestion this bad I was pregnant which I had completely forgotten about until now

I was on nexium every day for most of chemo - never had indigestion or reflux before and haven’t since. 

2 for delivery was good. Had a lovely nurse who was very gentle and neither that were looking after me whinged about the multiple trips to the toilet and unhooking the cold cap and giving me my walking trolley. Dexa and maxalon work fine for me for nausea. It is indigestion that kills me but I started nexium Tuesday and the oncologist I saw today (mine was away deliverying a speech or something) was extremely thorough and has presribed a higher level of that and has given me tighter parameters around any gastro. But it was yet another person feeling up the boobs. Must say surgeon did a stellar job I had to show the oncologist where the second incision was. Next few days are when the fun starts but that might be later tonight when dexa keeps me awake at 3:30
