@Beaglemum You simply won't get all the side effects! Predictive worry is a waste of time so your instincts on that are 100%. However there's no harm in being prepared so definitely get some things in so you're not caught short. Something to stop your bowels and something to start them is a good idea!
@"Kiwi Angel" worked all the way through TC, and I walked everyday. You won't be incapacitated. I didn't vomit once, and while I had trouble with my hands, neither @Finch or @"Kiwi Angel" did. We're all different.
I'd leave your nails on for now and speak to the chemo nurses about what they're experience is on this front.
For most of us, chemo is grotty but doable. While looking sick is confronting and a shock, you will get used to it and be the recipient of great kindness and love as a result. When all else fails, keep your eyes on the prize, a cancer free life, and be proud of yourself for doing something hard to hopefully achieve the best for your future. An extra bug bear hug lovely!
