I had my annual mole check today (yes, I'm still mole ;) ). When I had it last year I'd just had my mammogram and hadn't received the call back yet. So when he asked me how my year had been I filled him in.
When he was examining my face he observed the pigmentation that had emerged during my second pregnancy had got darker. I asked why and he said chemotherapy can cause or darken pigmentation if you are someone who has skin that's susceptible to it. Which I do. Which would also explain the dark markings that appeared along one of my lollipop scars in my recon.
Anyway, I asked if there was anything I could do about it. Yes, I can bleach it. It will take months and require sunscreen on my face every morning but I pretty much do that anyway. It's most pronounced on my forehead and now that I'm not wearing a fringe anymore I thought I'd give it a go. He's given me a prescription which I have to take to a compounding chemist.
Anyone else ever experienced this?
