In the end I decided to deal with the anxiety I was feeling by grasping the bull by the horns. I went into the chemo unit to say hello to the NUM who was so nice to me that first desperate day. She remembered me and was pleased to see me with hair! We had a chat and I thanked her for her kindness and care. I felt better afterwards.
