Take it easy Trikki2. It's a necessary evil. We certainly wouldnt want the alternative. Everyone has a different experience and some experiences are shared as you can see. Whatever happens is only temporary and nails and hair regrow. A positive state of mind will be your best friend at this time. Live each day as normal as possible, and when it's a, feeling crappy day, make yourself comfy and ride the wave. I had mine 3 weeks apart and by the 4/5 day after chemo I felt my energy returning and I was once again in the land of the living. I had no idea what to expect except for the stories of heard. It turned out to be nothing like I imagined. I think a lot of it was to do with my attitude and Mantra of 'its not going to rob me of anything'. I hope your experience will be no worse than mine. We all have to be brave and some even braver. The chemo centres have lovely staff and you will be well looked after. You may be eligible for the cold cap which saves the hair to varying degrees. The cold mitts help with saving your nails. There is a lot of help available so enjoy your weekend and try not to fret. Take care.
