@"Kiwi Angel" and @kmakm - I had a heart attack nearly 3 years ago and was told that would be 'taken into account' during the initial planning for my chemo. I was given the more toxic Doxorubicin instead of Docetaxol. (both very similar side effects)
They said they were "removing the parts that might damage my heart". I never suffered from a racing heart during chemo because there simply was no racing to be done. I lived a level life without hills or stairs.
My question is what is it there for in the first instance if they can just 'remove' it?
