Kiwi Angel. I have not heard of the injection your having but there is no escaping some of the symptoms. I found day 3 after chemo the worst. Like the flu for aches and pains and I turned into the woman from hell lol. No patience, no concentration, no anything. So it was a very long few days. Couldn't read, watch TV,, just lay there watching paint dry. Wow. Luckily my husband left at 4am for work and arrived home at 9pm. Unfortunate for me as I could barely get down the stairs. Looking back I have to laugh. Yep laugh. By day 5 I began to feel better and for the next 2 weeks I felt great. It was dose 3 and 4 when the chemo was compounding that it was a little harder to recover and after dose 4 the thigh and top of arm muscles were weak. Uppermost in my mind during all of this was. It was my choice to have it. After margins and lymphs showing clear, chemo and radiotherapy was my insurance to guard against a return. Any side effects made me think that it was getting to any possible critters and killing them. It almost 3 months since my last chemo and I finished 20 radiotherapy sessions nearly 2 weeks ago. I am lucky I have barely had any fatigue. I've been working through all of this, on my good days during chemo and back regularly during radiation. I pace myself at work and find it uplifting to be there. Anything is better than my bed and four walls. Sometimes I would spend 5 or 6 days in bed. I feel right now, no different than before all of this started 7 months ago. Like a lot of people I was feeling better than I had ever felt in my life up till diagnosis. The good thing is, cancer didn't make me sick, the treatment did. Be patient Kiwi Angel you will be looking back on all of this soon. Eat well, drink lots and flush your body. You'll be back climbing mountains before you know it. @Kmakm we just have to keep kicking its ass.
