Sadly not the best recovery from Chemo 4 so far. Dramatic low blood pressure collapse aside, I have virtually no energy. The slightest effort makes my heart beat fast. I'm shocked by my lack of condition. And shocked by my surprise; did I really think it wouldn't happen to me?! I had a fair bit of nausea for the first few days. Got through the bone ache with the assistance of some ibuprofen which my oncologist permitted for 48 hrs. It didn't magic the pain away but it did make it bearable. My fingernail beds are hot throbbing pain centres, and unfortunately are now discolouring. I saw someone's photo of the same thing, a brown crescent shaped band halfway up the nails. Does this mean the nail is going to crumble, or they're going to fall off? Bowels are in still in full revolt, tastebuds & appetite are shot (which, silver lining, has assisted in the weight loss department. Hit the 20kg mark today!) and my eyelid hasn't stopped twitching in weeks... Still, it's done with now. Onwards and upwards.
Posting these details because I've not found too much info on TC chemotherapy (Docetaxel & Cyclophosphamide) here. Someone after me may be interested.
