Taxol or carbo and hot flushes?

Wow that's an amazing effort. I have been told that 14 days after AC chemo, most people are at their lowest point with their immunity and their white blood cell count would be at its lowest so I'm not surprised you ended up in hospital. At least the AC is over now and hopefully you will get through the next but without too much trouble. 

Every two weeks.  I had a four week gap in between the third and fourth as I was neutropenic and in hospital for a week

@ccasper did you have your AC every 2 or 3 weeks? Some here have mentioned they had AC every 2 weeks which I imagine would be very hard on your body as it doesn't give you much time to recover.

Thanks @LibbyB I have been ok with the carbo. Felt a little crappy yesterday but was ok today. I have 2 more carbo to go and 8 more taxol. I think I also shouldn't eat chili on the day of chemo. I made that error and it may of helped the flushes!!

Hi, I got awful hot flushes throughout my entire chemo-both AC and paciltaxol/carbo. My oncologist got me to try Remifen which is a natural menopausal tablet which def helped a bit. I am almost 3 months post treatment and they have definitely settled a lot. How are you finding the carbo? I found that knocked me for 6 and was the hardest of all drugs. I was exhausted by the end and needed a transfusion as my red blood cells got so slow. Make sure you get lots of rest!!

@ccasper the AC is going ok. I just had another round today and lying in bed now feeling a bit sorry for myself! The last few weeks have been pretty good though, saw the oncologist yesterday and he is very happy with my bloods and how well my body recovered after the first round so hopefully that happens again! I found the first week after chemo to be the worst then I felt pretty good after that. 

@Ro10 so far apart from the hot flushes (although I had chili in my dinner last night. I won't do that on a chemo night again) I have been really good. Just get yourself some dark nail polish to protect your nails. I got a chemical free one from the nourished life!
i am on carboplatin too so flushes could be from that who knows. How's AC treating you?
