The operation sounds like a last resort. I know you've probably tried everything already, but I definitely recommend magnesium before bed time to aid sleep and the bonus is it softens stools as well. Soluble vitamin C does the same. I take a powder form of zinc and vitamin C which is supposed to aid skin health. As always, stay hydrated and eat plenty of natural fibre. Good luck. x
