  • Hi Premek, no issues on Taxol? I was fine until  dose 5 of taxol, now nausea has set in and tearfulness, I was presribed maxolon but also had  restless legs. thanks for the advice, everyone says Taxol is great, taxol you will not loose your hair. taxol is a low dose, now I am not sure, the pain in the fingers and toes is aweful, and also insomnia, and tired ness. The first few weeks fine now I think it is cumulative, any tips?

  • Hi @KatherineH . Yes I struggled with nausea on AC chemo. Maxalon didn't help much and gave me restless legs. I was switched to stemitil which I took strictly 8 hourly. I also had dexamathesone for 4 days not 2 on a reducing  regime . Just before meals...like 30 minutes I had an ondasetron wafer (with a mini mint to help with taste as I would dry reach otherwise) it meant I could eat tea. I also had horrible gut burning which made it worse so had nexium morning at night. It made it all bearable. Soda water with a slice of lemon helped to get more fluids in. ..normal water tasted disgusting. Some people said ginger ale is good...my burning gut would not allow. The good thing is ...no issues on taxol like that.

Hope things improve for you soon. Kath x
  • Hi @KatherineH, unfortunately I can't really help much apart from I do know that some of the ladies have had stemetil but I think that the best course would be to talk to your chemo nurses as they will be able to adapt nausea medication to you. I do know that Kath @primek had a few nausea issues and she may be able to let you know the regime she was given. Sending you big hugs and hoping you feel better soon. XX Cath
