Still worried

@KathSeward  said : (posted on another post.)

Saw my oncologist today for my 3 month check post chemo and rads for a 9 mm triple neg with clear sentinel nodes and lumpectomy with clear margins in July 2016 and not sure how I feel! He was very positive and bloods all good but I've been having creepy crawly feelings in my shoulder(severe dislocation 3 years ago) which I've been having since diagnosis and a creepy crawly feeling in my hip which came on 3 weeks after chemo and after I was started on Venlafexine which I Stopped 5 weeks ago. He says it's nerve related and will see me in 3 months but I'm freaking out.

  • Hi @KathSeward
Creepy crawly is a good way to describe those weird sensations. I think chemo attacks the weakest links and, for me, old injuries (and I've had a few) get a life of their own. We are sort of told this stuff will happen but it's hard to figure out what is significant enough to warrant action.
Changes in drugs take a while to get used to,--one set of side effects tapers off and another arrives.
Do you have your oncs email address? The poor man who is looking after me gets regular 'updates' when something changes enough to rattle me. It's worked well, he'll call me in if something rings a bell for him and sends me a 'Dont worry, we'll talk about that later' response if my concerns sound routine.
