I was terrified about starting chemo, I think a lot ladies are because it's the fear of the unknown. They do have a lot of medications to help with nausea, I didn't throw up at all. I found the best thing was to be prepared and be pro-active, take the medications before the side effects kick in. Keep rinsing your mouth with Biotene or even salty water to prevent mouth ulcers. I took an anti-histamine to help with the rash that is sometimes associated with chemo. I did struggle a bit with Docetaxol mainly eating issues when I lost my taste buds. But I made it through and you will too. It's not always a pleasant thing but it is doable. Any advice you need, hop onto the website and the ladies will always offer advice and put your mind at rest. All the best for Thursday, I hope all goes well for you,
Hazel xx
