Radiation Burns - Wet or Dry?

Hi @Kay855 I am 8 days post radiotherapy and still in burning mode - my skin is broken and peeling below the breast I just assumed this is all par for the course and was prepared to iive with it - however the nurse rang me last week to see how I was 1 week post rads and when I told her they asked me to come in - so glad I did - they put intrasite gel and a dressing on the area and it has made such a difference - the gel is really cooling as well (i was originally using the bepanthen on the area). They also referred me to the community nurse to get dressings changed - but only needed to go once -they said I can do it at home and sent me off with a weeks worth of dressings and I have several tubes of the gel.
Suggest you speak to your rad nurse and see if they can do anything for you. Mine have been great, they also rang me up today to check how I was going.
As for the none blistered area just used moogoo/sorbelene and that seems to be doing the trick. Cant wait for the 2 week post finish when it all stops suddenly
