I had an early menopause so had my fair share of hot flushes before taking a progesterone troche for a couple of years. Bliss! Of course this went straight into the bin with my breast cancer diagnosis. I had an E100%, P95% receptive cancer. Even though I am taking Arimidex, I expect that I would have been getting the flushes anyway now my natural lack of hormones have kicked in!
Foot/leg and arms out of the quilt is what works for me too. I have now reassured my husband that when he comes back from the bathroom at 2am and sees me exposed to the elements, do not cover me up :)
Luckily I only get a couple of hot flushes during the day, leaving me with a nice sweaty sheen all over my face! Heaven help me when summer kicks in up here.
So far the night sweats are not affecting my sleep too much. Somehow I am managing to flip the covers off, fall back asleep, wake up freezing and recover myself about 5 times a night. Back to work in a week so all that may change!
Look after yourselves, wishing you all cooler nights. Jane xx
