I too have had a huge problem with hot flushes and sleepless nights. I know what has worked for me and finally I have got my sleep pattern into a great routine and my hot flushes nearly gone. Firstly the hot flushes were making me miserable so intense. A friend told me to go on organic maca powder and organic ginger tea and cut all caffeine etc WOW it made a huge difference almost straight away then I made my bedroom into a only cotton affair with all sheets etc and doona being total cotton and slept in cotton only pjs. Then I went to sleep with one leg out of the bedding (do not laugh this really helps) But the funniest thing of all was how I got my sleep into a pattern.. I bought a fitbit and no not to trace steps but sleep. So off I went to bed with my fitbit and traced my sleep. I then read the fitbit information and it told me to go to bed and sleep at 9.30 pm and wake at 6.30 am sharp regardless of how much sleep I got. I was strict with this for 10 days and loved looking up the fitbit sleep tracer every morning. An alarm on the watch tells me at 8.45 to wind down and get ready for bed and I did this every night. Then I got into a routine and obviously so did my body because its been a long time since I could sleep and no I still wake a couple of times a night but can now go back to sleep again.. this may have been mind over matter but it sure worked for me.........Each week my sleep length has got longer and longer and finally I do not feel sleep deprived anymore.... $149 well worth spending.
