Hello!!!! I just read your post, and even though I don't comment on posts much any more,I felt that maybe I could help:) I have been on Tamoxifen for a little over 3 years now.My hot flushes were absolutely relentless in the beginning....all day and all night!! And not just your usual hot flush, but the really severe ones, just like you are experiencing.I spoke to my oncologist, and she told me that they would pass. She was right as usual, but it took about 6 months for them to ease. The things that helped me through were as follows...I took 2 Blackmores mag-min each day.( magnesium) I STOPPED drinking anything hot.....l slept with an oscillating fan next to my bed,in hot and cold weather. I ALWAYS slept with one leg out of the covers.I used a chillow pillow, and I kept a spray water bottle next to my bed.I only used cotton sheets, they are SO MUCH cooler than polyester, and I only wore cotton t shirts when they were at their worst.I drank ICED water all day long.... Just keep sipping it.It cools your core temperature.Carry a small fine water spray bottle in your bag when you go out.You can mist your face at any time.I hope these things might help a bit.It will improve,Give it a bit more time:) Cheers Robyn
