Post chemo hair ....everywhere!!
So my hair is growing back with a vengeance, but not just on my head. My face is unbelievably hairy - thankfully white so not too obvious, but it’s on my cheeks, chin even my nose has little fine white hairs. So, if others have experienced thus, what did you use to get rid of it?

- kmakmMemberIf you do nothing (as I did) the white face fuzz can settle down. It did for me. Someone here explained that you had all this hair before but it was worn down by a lifetime of pillows.
As for the lady garden, well after chemo mine regrew and flourished... except for a sparsely populated tonsure in the middle! I kid you not. Truly weird. - ddonMemberOh @Zoffiel I needed that laugh. I love your description - roundupped in the middle and flourishing over the fence! Beautiful. I must say I enjoyed very much 6 months of no shaving anywhere - but I was excited when it all started coming back. Lady garden and all. But, not on my face.
- ZoffielMemberBoth chemos, my pubes all fell out, apart from a weird tonsure on the outside of my bikini line. OK, I know tonsure only applies to scalps, but there is no equivalent word for which I will, just trying to be civilized (I struggle) refer to as the lady garden. Garden indeed. Roundupped in the middle and flourishing across the fence. Years later, I've got a bloody jungle halfway to my knees but only OUTSIDE ME KNICKERS.
Like a chimney standing where a house burnt down--as a reminder of where the fire should have been--I still view my reverse brazillian with amusement. WTAF? - CaiboMember@ddon,its a small facial hair remover gadget. I bought mine from the shavershop but they are also available from some chemists. I first bought a cheaper one at the chemist but returned it as it wasn’t working properly.I recommend getting it from the shaver shop. That one worked beautifully and comes with a 1 year warranty and can be returned/repaired etc.
- ddonMemberHi Caibo. Is that a cream? Chemist?
- CaiboMember@ddon, I had the same issues. before chemo I never had a visibly hairy face but it was crazy the growth I had about 6 weeks post chemo. I bought one of the flawless facial hair removers and it did the job nicely.I have used it twice in a month and now the hair doesn’t seem to be growing back again or at least it has slowed down considerably.
Also re laser,I looked into it but the clinics wouldn’t do it for at least 6 months post chemo. If it does grow back again I will consider laser once I reach that time frame. - ddonMember😁😜
- LocksleyMemberYes I also have a hairy white face happening. Not happy JAN!
- Dory65MemberLazer Clinics Australia where I live, but there are many different providers around. Check the online reviews for your area.
- ddonMemberHa ha. Teen wolf exactly. Who does the laser hair removal ?
