hi ladies, this is my first communication for a very very long time. Seems like a life time ago it all began. Now, surguries, chemo and radiation is all done as of two weeks ago i can now start to thrive again. Still trying to adjust to my new physical form and happily watching my head hair grow back. I have realised the last couple of weeks my body hair, thank goodness is blonde, is growing back like crazy. I havnt been particularly hairy person but now i have a blonde fluffy facial hair. I feel very visible. Im more aware of this than i was being bald . Id like to know am i the only woman with this issue? Please say i’m not. What happens now? Do i have it fall out soon or do i book in for a face wax, ☹️ Id appreciate some input. Many thanks. Ps i have triple negative not hormone based cancer.

Hi @Me2 I remember post chemo, walking across the carpark to the supermarket and it was windy, I kept brushing my face as I felt like there was something there on my cheeks LOL. Turned out it was the downing growing back on my face, Im also blonde but it seemed to me to be really noticeable at the time. Im now 2.5years post chemo and honestly I dont think its noticeable at all. So whether it just settles down again I think, it was just the initial of it all growing back. xx Melinda

I had it once I finished chemo and my hair in general was growing back but like a baby it has settled down and is now more natural. I didnt do anything with it. its like baby down when they are first born.

Hi there @Me2 i has triple neg last year aged 43 8 rounds of chemo no rads as I had a mastectomy and long story short when my hair grew back definately had the facial hair going on my ears looked like warewaolves! My son shaved them with one of those nose hair shavers and they never grew back after that. I always had some chin hairs etc but here’s how I deal with it now!lol xx and I still have the side burns going on too but no one notices and they are light and blonde so no you’re definately not the only one xx

That pic was me yesterday with my hairdresser I sent it to our kids for a laugh so quite funny I get to post it on here too now for you all to get a giggle out of

Apparently 'face threading' works and isn't that painful........I am yet to try it on my peach fuzz!

@Flaneuse Two days ago I noticed the bottom of my chin and underneath are covered in masses of white soft hair, about three times as much as there was before chemotherapy. Thank you for adding to this thread so I could read all the reassuring answers! This hive mind is unbelievable!!

I've had a problem with facial hair all my adult life. It was the first thing to go the second week after my first chemo treatment. Definitely never shave. "Sugaring" (Cleopatra did it) is good; threading is okay if done well. I'm not looking forward to it growing back after chemo.

I had long facial hair that was white, a dark moustache which I promptly waxed and long white hair on my neck the hairdresser shaved for me. Fortunately it has all settled.
