possible lymphoma

Hi,

diagnosed with breast cancer 3 yrs ago. Had a lumpectomy and treated with radiotherapy. At the time, there was a probable lymphovascular tumour invasion at the periphery of the tumour. (hoping the radiotherapy would kill it. Fast forward 3 years and have just had a ct scan because bloods showed eelvated LDH and the ct scan  has showed up elevated lymph nodes throughout body. waiting on biopsy report to rule out lymphoma. 

If this is lymphoma, the symptoms are bizarre - in december started with serious itch on the scalp and back of neck. In early Jan break out into a bizarre rash -whole of body. Mild underlying nausea since Jan, general tiredness and temperature fluctuations and sweating at night enough to ly without a top sheet (but it has been hot weather).I have had fever, chills the niht before my CT scans and thought i coulght a bad cold. Since Jan have dropped 3 kgs . Last night, i get acute pains in the abdomen followed by diarhhea. My results come out on tuesday.

So the symptoms are confusing as they may just be an infection causing all this bizzare symptoms or if in fact it is lymphoma.

They biopsied the lymph node in the neck but will this also pick up if i have lymphoma throughout the body or will it just show what is happening in the neck lymph nodes. Can anyone shed some light here? I am worried they did not take the sample from an area that is not sensitive to cold'flu symptoms which were at the time of the ct scan....

    Hi Lorry

    Goodness I do hope that it is viral only but tomorrow will be here soon enough.  You've got a mixture of symptoms, some of which I've experienced recently..........goodness we do find ourselves on a crooked mile or two as we travel this BC journey.

    Good luck for tomorrow and here's hoping it is a simple explanation

    thanks Tracey for your kind thoughts. I will let you know on tuesday what the outcome is. I will look at Donna fishers post as you suggested. lets hope it is just a virus:)lorryh

    Hi Lorry, what a scary place for you to be. Successfully beating bc 3yrs ago and now wondering all over again - I feel for you xox. I don't know if it in any way answers your question, but if you read back through Donna?fishers? posts from about a week ago, she had a lump on her neck that turned out to be probable viral cause and not c. I hope that is the answer you get too, either way we are here for you. Hoping you find peace while you wait and that the biopsy results are good ??
