Yep trimmed short is good. The beds do repair in a couple of weeks but it then takes months for the receding to grow out. I am 6mths post chemo and my thumb nails have the chemo bumps still there from about halfway up the nail so I am guessing be careful with nails for about a year. On the plus side they are now strong enough to open a ring pull can. God I missed that lol. :)
