Nail Damage from AC Chemo?
Hi All
Have just finished 3 months of AC and nail on small toe has just lifted off. Took nail varnish off and both big toe nails are half black. Am on Paclitaxel next and this is listed as a side...
My nails seem more brittle but I keep them short. I have though in the past got black big toenails from walking a lot and pressure on the toe which caused bleeding under the nail. I guess our platelets can get low and increase bleeding risk so perhaps it is that. Our toenails grow slower and I have had my small one just lift off only to find another growing up underneath...not related to chemo at all. I have 1 more cycle if AC to go. Kath x
