Hi girls A bit of Friday night humor.... my partner would say my boobs are so hot.... But my left one (and underarm) is so hot and its no laughing or joking matter.... Six weeks through radiation and this whole breast cancer treatment thingy is no laughting matter; sore - very very sore........ Any tips for the poor burnt booby/underarm area??

Hi I had the worst burns dressings 4times a day. If the hospital hasn't already given you solugel go get some and put it in the fridge and constantly use it. I even put one of those ice gel packs in the fridge and put it in a cloth and lay it under your armpit or the sore area. It does eventually go . Best luck with it all. Adean

I seem to remember having hot boobs for months after chemo and radiotherapy had finished. Not sure if still hot once herceptin finished 18 months after surgery. It used to be quite a joke to get exhusband to,tell me if he too could feel a difference. Your pink sister, Carol

I preferred sorbolene cream for the most part. Vitamin e cream once any wounds have completely healed. Your pink sister, Carol

I finished radiation nearly 2 weeks ago and have spent the last week going back to my hospital so I can have the dressing changed due to blistering under the breast. It is very sore still but getting better. I looked after myself fairly well and "creamed" the left breast many times daily throughout my 5 weeks of radiotherapy but in most cases radiation intensifies for some weeks after treatment is finished. So just look after yourself, and follow what your nurses advise you. I am packing on the Solugel 3 or even 4 times a day now. Today is the first day where all the area is very itchy so that's a good sign of healing I have been told. My underarm is also abit sore but because there isn't much breaking skin there I just put Sorbolene there as that's what I have been told todo.
