My boobs are so hot....

I finished radiation nearly 2 weeks ago and have spent the last week going back to my hospital so I can have the dressing changed due to blistering under the breast. It is very sore still but getting better. I looked after myself fairly well and "creamed" the left breast many times daily throughout my 5 weeks of radiotherapy but in most cases radiation intensifies for some weeks after treatment is finished. So just look after yourself, and follow what your nurses advise you. I am packing on the Solugel 3 or even 4 times a day now. Today is the first day where all the area is very itchy so that's a good sign of healing I have been told. My underarm is also abit sore but because there isn't much breaking skin there I just put Sorbolene there as that's what I have been told todo.

It makes it all worth it 500% !!  - just dreadful to think some women have to go through this..

I have just gone 12 months check up. I also remember the radiated breast being like a hot water bottle, and this went on for months after treatment finished.  I also had sharp shooting pains for months.  This is where the saying goes "Radiation, the gift that keeps on giving".

It all seems never ending, but eventually things calm down, never to be the same, but OK.
