I am now post-surgery and about to have the second round of chemo but I experienced this feeling and I feel for you. The sensation in my armpit post surgery was horrible. Painful and yes kind of 'sticky'. I found it got much better after 4-5 weeks. Hoping it soon resolves for you. Over the first 4-5 weeks post surgery had the lymphatic fluid drained manually 2-3 times a week and that helped. All very unpleasant though. Netney's suggestion of a safe talc sounds good. My left armpit is still a bit sensitive.
