Mouth ulcers
First bout of chemo on Friday and I have a couple of mouth ulcers around my teeth already. :-(
I've been really diligent in cleaning with a soft brush after eating and I've been doing the salt water rinse all the time as well.
Should I be doing more? Any tips would be appreciated.

- That is a very similar story. I was glad to read you had more surgery. Much better than a reoccurrence like me. Fingers crossed all will be well once you finish treatment. Hope your mouth recovering well. Good luck Paula :)
- Glad to hear you're doing well these days Paula. And best of luck with the reconstruction. :-) I read your initial blog on here and my story is not so different from yours. Lump discovered after a clear mammogram. Cancer had spread to one lymph node after 9 being removed. I have also been diagnosed as triple negative!!! My margins werent as clear as my surgeon liked so had more of the breast removed with a 2nd lot of surgery. Chemo then radiation then fingers crossed. Take care Linda. X

- Thanks Paula I actually work as a medical secretary for a group of anaesthetists! I was a bit reluctant at first to get a port too but after talking to one of them they basically said that it was a no brainer. That it would only be a matter of time before the veins went. How are u doing these days? Linda. X
- They sure are. Plus to make matters worse when I was being intubated for my port last Thursday my lip must have been caught in the tubing somehow, as when I came to my lip was swollen and red. This has since turned into the nastiest thing I've ever seen. I swear to god I would scare small children - lol. Persisting with the salt water but I realise everything will take SO much longer to heal on chemo. Linda. X

- Oh yes, I'd forgotten that...our chemo nurses would give us an icy pole to suck on for that reason!
