I had very bad mouth ulcers for the last six weeks of chemo and was absolutely miserable with them. My oncologist prescribed liquid morphine as they were also down my throat and on the roof of my mouth. Nothing really worked for me I have to say but a mouth wash called Peter Mac which the nurses at the Oncology unit gave me was very good. I couldn’t buy it here in Brisbane but ordered it on line from a pharmacy in Melbourne.
My ulcers eventually disappeared 3 weeks after finishing chemo.
