Both my oncologist and GP are supportive of my medical cannabis use. However, they have found the process to access medical cannabis legally to be: complex; almost impossible for patients to qualify unless all other treatments options have been exhausted; AND more expensive than the black market. While technically we can get access to legal medical cannabis, I have found the reality to be very different.
I’m lucky to live in the northern rivers region, where I find it easy to access medical cannabis oil from a reliable supplier. I’ve met a number of women living with metastatic breast cancer who live in a city and had no idea where they could confidently access medical grade product.
I look forward to the day we were all able to easily & legally access medical cannabis products .... even tailored medicines like they are creating in Israel
