Lymphoedema and insect bites
All the information I can find about lymphoedema says to avoid insect bites, which is good advice - until you have been bitten. I don't have lymphoedema but had 4 lymph nodes removed with my surger...
Gosh that looks painful. I wish I had taken a photo of my swollen arm but I was too freaked out to think straight.
I am hoping that my GP will give me a bit of an action plan so that if I'm ever bitten on that arm again I will know exactly what to do.
It was a bit frustrating when I kept googling and the only information I could find was to avoid insect bites! The only person I ever knew to tried to get bitten was the guy who stuck his arm in the mossie cage in the TV ad and a weird kid in primary school!
