It just keeps on giving!

Day 2 - after round four

Well ran out of puff yesterday afternoon....

Went to the GP for my injection....went grocery shopping as the cupboards were bare...cooked dinner...then collapsed for the night...

Slept OK until about 1am.....killer bone pain in my hips woke me up, which soon spread to my knees as well...by 7 am my leg bones were screaming..I couldn't lie down any longer....walking is painful....sitting is painful.....I'm already am accustomed to pain from my osteo arthritis, but Yes, I have been told this will be different and they were right! I also have a sore throat which is a worry :/ so will have to keep a close eye on that and my temperature...see if I can get by with just Panadol.

Anyways, will take it easy today and hope it doesn't get to much worse.

Hope you have a good day!

  • Yes been using that fur years....t's a staple in our cupboard! Saves on unecessary antibiotics too

  • Betadine sore throat gargle to kill the sore throat. I used it heaps during treatment.

  • So sorry to hear you are in so much pain. I hope you get some relief and sleep soon. Hugs, Jacqui

  • Thanks Ladies... I have started on Nurofen for now then will move to pandeine forte if need be...I don't take anything for my osteo pain anymore, seems I was pumping my body with crap for no gain... It seems to have reached its full potential in causing me pain, that it's not so bad now... If that makes sense..

    Soldier on!

  • Damn..... I was so hoping you wouldn't get the bone pain. It nearly did me in when I got it in my sternum. I thought I was having a heart attack because the chest pain was so bad. Remember if panadol oseto doesn't help anti inflammatories might. They had me on panadol osteo, then panadeine forte, then endone. Nothing worked until I took simple neurofen then everything was better. Don't suffer, ask your doctor for different meds if you need them. Take care and don't push yourself.

  • Have you started regular panadol osteo for the pain? Really important it is taken regularly. It might just make it bearable. Hope things improve soon.

  • Sorry to hear a bout your bone pain Tracy, I have osteoarthritis in the ankles & know how bad it can get some days I can't walk, but to have the extra pain from the new chemo must be agony.

I will be thinking of you sending healing vibes, lets hope they can give you something better than panadol for your next cycle.
