Thanks @Cath62 - I hope you remain joint pain free!! Like you, my Onc said my 'benefit' was only about 2% more protection too ..... and if I'd stayed as bad as I was when I was on Letrozole - I wouldn't have lasted the 4 years, that is for sure!!
Changing Oncs to my current one, who listened to my concerns & actually believed my pain issues & changing from Letrozole to the other AIs early in the piece .... was the smartest thing I've done. So this sudden regression is just horrible!
Tamoxifen has been around for decades & I know of 3 women in their 90s now, who had mastectomies back in the 80s & then had 10 years of Tamoxifen - who are still around, tho 1 has dementia now .... so that's a pretty good testament, I reckon.
I took a couple of panadeine forte this morning & noticed a marked improvement by late morning .... I've taken one at lunch time & will take one tonight as well, then reassess my pain strategy tomorrow.
