- Kiwi_AngelMember@kmakm at least that is a nice healthy craving!
- kmakmMemberHa! I only had one craving in my two pregnancies. It was with my first. I HAD to have freshly squeezed orange & pineapple juice. I was like a woman possessed when it hit. Every fibre of my body was desperate for it. It was in the days before there was a juice bar on every corner, so either my husband or I had to travel some distance to slake my thirst. A doctor told me that citrus was the second most common pregnancy craving after dairy.
- Kiwi_AngelMember@kmakm - chemo is doing crazy thing to my body - a vegan (off the wagon at the moment) craving KFC. I reckon this must be what pregnancy cravings are like.
- kmakmMemberEw! I'm not a fan of their food. Except for the coleslaw. I always liked that!
I reckon your tastebuds will be good to go by the end of June. K xox - Kiwi_AngelMember@kmakm Yah - we r going to Tasmania at the end of June for our wedding anniversary so I want my taste buds in full working order (or close too) for wine tasting and eating. I do find a lot of stuff tastes like it’s dull and flavourless - probably why my body is craving crap and soft drink post chemo. I woke up craving KFC which I haven’t had in years!!
- kmakmMemberI want to say lucky you! I had none of that. Almost everything tasted either wrong, off, metallic or completely revolting! There were a handful of foods that tasted so hideous I had to spit them out... Fortunately getting your sense of taste back happens pretty quickly. I noticed an improvement at the 2 - 3 week mark (after the end of the full three week cycle) and reckon I was fully back to normal after about five weeks. K xox
