Hot Flushes
I am not coping very well with these darn hot flushes.
Hardly getting any sleep as I am woken every two or so hours in a pool of sweat.
I am on Tamoxifen.
How does anyone else manage?? my Doctor suggested anti depresants and Temazapam sleeping tablets but have only opted for the sleeping tablets thus far. They dont seem to help that much and I dont like to take them all the time.
Fatigue makes eveything seem sooo much of a drama it drives me nuts.
I have heard that acupuncture may help, has anyone else tried that.
Any reflief ideas that anyone has would be greatley appreciated.

Sadness and depression seems to accompany most oestrogen inhibitors. However, next time you get blood tests done ask to have thyroid function included. Major symptom of hypothyroidism is depression. This is a test every woman should have anyway. It just needs to be ruled out. (I have hypothyroidism - Arimidex either interferred with my thyroid or my meds - I had to go off Arimidex for that reason). I am terribly emotional on Tamoxifen which is why dosage has been decreased. Good luckxx
- Thankyou, that is interesting re dosage. I have appointment for my six month check since surgery so I may ask the question next week.
