@Amazonian Panadol didn't touch the pain and I didn't have anything stronger. I was just about to go off to ED when a visiting friend gave me a 'funny ciggy'. I would have tried anything. Within 10 minutes the pain was going, going, gone.I was not aware of antihistamines used for this and subsequent injections, took endone and panadol. The trick with me was to take it at the first twinge, rather than waiting for pain to become unbearable. Pain only lasted for few days.
