I loathed that drug @Amazonian I've had chemo twice and found that Loratadine (Claratyne) made the world of difference. Ask your onc, but I have never heard of anyone being told they can't take it and it is standard practice in some places. Start the day before chemo and take one a day for 7 days. Some oncologists poo poo the idea, but there have been studies in the UK that suggest it is helpful. At $1 a day it's worth a go.
The theory is that the antihistamine helps with the bone oedema caused by the Peg injection. Some people have a worse time with that than others and there is no way I could cope with just Panadol. Mxx
