Hormone blockers

after surgery and chemo I began hormone blockers in dec 2017, tamoxifen made me a crying mess.
Started on Letrozole the joint pain became unbearable, I had a break of a month and pain went just leaving me with the neuropathy pain in hands and feet.
Have stared Anastrozole, and joint pain really kicking back in. Is there nothing we can do??? Is this horrible pain in EVERY joint in my body my lot for the next ten years?????!?
  • Yes finished chemo late 2017 then started HB annd have only just started on Anastrozole, yes painkillers work
  • Thus far my oncologist has said some of her patients have had some success with krill oil and curcumin. Some people here say exercise helps them. Magnesium gets a good rap as well. I've tried all except the curcumin (which I will try) but I can't say they've made much difference. The supplements seem to work for a few weeks and then the effect wears off/the aches get stronger. I'm resorting to painkillers more and more often now. I've been taking Letrozole for four months.

Did you have chemo @BonBon? Some people think that it's harder to start with if you are still recovering from that. As that takes at least a year to get over.

I'm persisting in the hope that my body will adjust and it will settle down. How long have you been taking the Anastrozole?
  • Hi @"Bon Bon" there are some other related threads I'll tag you in on.
