Couple of things I have done which doesn't guarantee sleep all of the time but does help.
Take vitamin D especially during winter when we are rugged up and out of the sun. It will help your body process calcium which is good for your bones.
I bought myself a top of the range mattress topper and its been divine to sleep on. Very few sore hip nights now. If its the dreaded bone aches, I do a bit of stretching in bed and if its still bad I get up for some Panadol.
