Heart Scan Result
I had my follow up Gated Blood Pool scan (also called a MUGA) the week after my reconstruction on 12/4 when I had my follow up appointment. It is now 3 months since I stopped Herceptin as my LVER (left ventricle efraction rate) had dropped to 43% and my herceptin was discontinued permanently after 11 cycles, instead of planned 17. Normal heart range is between 50-80% and my pre any treatment result was 69%.
So I am ecstatic to let you know my result now is 68%. My heart has recovered from chemo and herceptin.

- Well that really does deserve the happy dance!!
- @iserbrown. No Herceptin discontinued permanently as I had it drop that low twice. This is just ensuring recovery so it's my new normal.
- Good new Kath - does this suggest they will finish off Herceptin or are you considered to be normal again, or the new normal, whatever that means, normal in the medical sense? Take care x
