Headaches
Hi, Hope you had a good Christmas and start of
2015. I have been having really strong headaches almost constantly for the last few weeks,as with most
Things I always think that they may be cancer related
Hopefully,probably not.
I am wondering if anyone out there knows what sort of test that I may get if it does not stop soon?
Thanks,
Julia

If they are stress-related they may reduce or go away. Are you making sure you drink enough water in the heat (coz stressed kidneys also cause bad headaches) and getting your coffee fix if you normally drink coffee (coz cutting this also causes headaches) ?

Hope it all goes well, and best of luck with your CT and for the veins. Do you drink heaps of water for the day before they have to find a vein?
As mentioned, with Luminal a you only have about 2%risk of getting brain mets. I am ER-, PgR-, HER2+ and have a 30% risk, so I do understand the concern. Good on you for getting this organised!
let us know how you get on!

Luminal cells are the cells lining the milk ducts in the breast. These develop into two different molecular subtypes of breastcancer. Both are Estrogen positive and or Progesterone positive. Luminal A is usually HER2- with low Ki67 marker. Luminal B can be HER2+ or - , with high Ki67.
The big thing is that these subtypes have only 2% or 4% risk respectively of developing brain mets, much lower than other subtypes. More likely to be dehydration or not getting enough coffee, or the stress of Christmas. But you are wise to get it properly checked out.
best wishes
